Good News from the Sorong Congregation - Yulianti Galou

Growing and Inspiring
In 2001, Yulianti Galou came with her older sibling to Manado as a refugee fleeing the unrest in her hometown of North Maluku. At that time she was only 14 years old, and being separated from her parents was not easy. She never imagined that through that घटना it would actually lead her to know the congregation and eventually study the Bible. At only 14 years old, she made the decision to become a disciple of Jesus.
In the struggle of life as a disciple, she faced many challenges, but Yuli kept fighting to hold on to her conviction as a disciple of Jesus even while still young. Because of her zeal and deep conviction in the Word, the Lord continued to be with her and bless her.
Yuli grew into adulthood, became a leader in the congregation, and also helped others become disciples of Jesus. She also eventually found work and was able to pay for her college education until completion. Praise God, last year Yuli graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree. Nor did it stop there, in September 2016 when it was announced that the congregation would send a mission team to the city of Palu, Yuli also signed herself up to join. For her, growing and becoming an inspiration to many people was something she dreamed of.
The month of February was a special month for Yuli because she finally found a boyfriend in the Kingdom of God. For her, this was God’s blessing and the fruit of her struggle and obedience in becoming a disciple of Jesus. We hope Yuli’s life will become an even greater inspiration to many people out there.
Glory to the Name of the Lord.
