Attributes of God: Day 2

Day 2

THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

One of the greatest difficulties for humans in understanding God is that God existed even before anything existed. Unlike us humans, God has no beginning and no end; God does not depend on anyone or anything. God is not limited, not even by time itself.

Psalm 90:2, Before the mountains were born, and the earth and the world were brought forth, from everlasting to everlasting You are God.

Verses for Reflection:

Psalm 90: 1-4, "A prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born, and the earth and the world were brought forth, from everlasting to everlasting You are God. You turn man back to dust, and say: "Return, O children of men!" For in Your sight a thousand years are like yesterday when it passes by, or like a watch in the night"

Romans 11:33-36, "Oh, the depth of the riches, wisdom, and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has ever been His counselor? Or who has ever given anything to Him, so that He should repay it? For all things are from Him, through Him, and to Him: To Him be glory forever!"

1 Corinthians 8:5-6, "For even if there are what are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth -- and indeed there are many such "gods" and many "lords" --yet for us there is only one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we live, and only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were made and through whom we live."

Revelation 4:8, "And each of the four living creatures had six wings, and all around and within they were full of eyes, and without ceasing they cry out day and night: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come."
