PWF 12th Anniversary - Beautiful in His Time

On Saturday, October 17, 2020, Precious Woman Fellowship (PWF) celebrated its anniversaryfor the 12th year virtually, via Zoom. With the theme "Beautiful in His Time", this event invited two speakers, namely Sarah from Bandung, who is also the Leader of the Nusantara Region, and sister Pipin, a disciple from Jakarta who has been a disciple of Jesus for 29 years. Pipin is now married and lives in Canada. 

Attended by 150 sisters from across Nusantara, the event went well and left a deep, moving, and joyful impression. Broadly speaking, the event was divided into 2 parts. The first part was the lesson. The second part was PWF's 12th anniversary celebration. 

The lesson was divided into 3 main points, taken from the story of Naomi and Ruth. Naomi lost her husband and both of her sons, while Ruth also lost her husband at a young age. Both were women facing the same struggle, yet they responded to it differently.

When facing struggles in life, there are 2 ways to face them:

1. Living according to the flesh

Here are the characteristics:

• Complaining a lot
• Living just as things are (not wanting to strive for a better life)
• Problems make us insecure instead of more motivated
• Negative thinking (A lot of negative thoughts)
• Blaming God and others
• Bitterness arises over what has already happened
• Only thinking about what we want, not the interests of others
• Difficult to forgive 

2. Living in the Spirit

Characteristics of people who live in the Spirit:

• Thankful
• A life willing to be led by the Spirit (Willing to obey God's word)
• Trusting God no matter what happens
• Remaining faithful in life's struggles
• Willing to take responsibility
• Willing to learn
• Thinking about what the Lord wants in their life
• Quick to forgive.

The lesson continued to the second point: Enduring and Persevering in Hope (Romans 8:18)

When we fail in a relationship or suffer a tragedy, what do we do? Do we become lazy, traumatized about building relationships, look for reasons to focus on ourselves, or start playing around with sin? Instead, we must learn to  surrender, work hard, learn to build healthy relationships, seek counsel, help others and bear fruit, and grow Christlike character in our lives. 

The last point was about: Cannot be separated from God's love. In this section, the sisters were reminded that nothing can separate us from God's love (Romans 8:35).

Sister Pipin completed the lesson by sharing her life journey. Starting from when she first came to know the truth, her single years, and finally after 27 years of waiting, at the age of 45, God gave her a life partner. Beautiful in His time!

The next event was the 12th Anniversary Celebration of Precious Woman Fellowship (PWF). There, two videos were shown about PWF and the journey of how PWF finally came to have a ministry called “Seasoned Singles”. This means mature singles, who are not only mature in age but have also gone through many experiences and the ups and downs of life.

The event closed with the crowning of Inspiring Precious Sister 2020, given to  Yong from Surabaya and Aling from Jakarta.
