Good News - Ministry Day Campus Ministry Malang

Living in community is one way people live a social life. A good community can be the right filter in providing beneficial lessons so that changing times do not erode life’s values but instead guard the heart from habits that can cause a fall. In college life, having a growing community becomes an important need in determining faith growth.
Malang is one of the education cities with many universities and students. Most students in this city are migrants living far from their hometowns and parents. Student communities are increasing day by day, both positive communities and even communities that damage character and values.
Campus ministry Malang (DYON – Disciple Youth Of Ngalam) saw an opportunity to evangelize through introducing community in a more engaging way. Ministry Day is one way created to carry out ministry activities for one day. Bible talk, spending time, praying together, Bible study as well as academic discussions, are held at the same time and place. This activity has been carried out regularly for the past 2 months every Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in a different location each week.

At first the disciples felt awkward because they did not know one another very well yet. In addition, only a few disciples had any idea of what would be done in this activity.
However, with the planting of conviction about the importance of fellowship that is healthy both among the disciples and new people, attitude the disciples began to change. The conviction to grow and bear fruit and true faith in the Lord led each disciple to be convinced to build relationships with God and others. They became eager to build healthy friendships in the ministry. Everyone also strives to bring friends to be introduced to the community, so that at present there are 5 people who have been invited to Bible study.
The birthday celebration of one of the sistersA strong commitment produces true growth; loving the truth that God speaks has made these disciples dare to have dreams in the Lord.
We hope that through this activity every disciple can be active in maintaining their spirituality, so that more students will have a healthy community, especially many new people who can be helped to have a relationship with God.
