Good News from the Nias Congregation - Puji
Grateful to Be Part of the Kingdom of God
The Nias Congregation is grateful and praises God because in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, receiving good news by winning one more soul for the Kingdom of God. On Sunday, March 22, 2020, sister Puji was baptized.
Actually, Puji had known the congregation since 2016, through a disciple of Jesus who had once visited her workplace. Puji had attended a worship service once. However, at that time she felt a little bothered because the congregation often contacted her, especially since her character made it difficult for her to open up to other people. As a result, she no longer came to worship services and avoided meeting with the disciples of Jesus.
In 2018, Puji got engaged to Jul (a brother who was baptized in January 2020). Through Jul, Puji joined worship again and reconnected with the congregation. She then made the decision to study the word of God.
During her studies, Puji had to struggle to make time for Bible study. She then decided to leave her old workplace and take a new job that gave her plenty of time to connect with her brothers and sisters in the faith. Because of her perseverance through every challenge and her longing to know God, Puji successfully completed her studies and made the decision to become a disciple of Jesus.
Puji is very grateful to be part of the Kingdom of God, and because she and her fiance have both become disciples of Jesus. She hopes that one day she will be able to win other souls for God.
In this PSBB transition period, the Nias Congregation is grateful that it can still hold Sunday worship through the Zoom application. The members of the congregation also remain connected digitally and online, from discipling, Bible study, PDG, to spending time together. May the pandemic end soon and may we all be able to meet again in person. Amen!
