About Us

Marriage is a season that so many young people dream about. They strive to reach this stage and are excited to build a new life. It is not uncommon for people to think that marriage is one way to find happiness.

However, in reality, many do not realize that before having a happy marriage (happy marriage), a couple must understand how to build a healthy marriage (healthy marriage). There are many new things in which both spouses must learn to adapt to one another, build a relationship, communication, trust, and become an example to their children. And in living through this season, we need one another to help and strengthen each other. 

Married Ministry is one of the communities in GKDI made up of married couples who are striving to live in the Lord. If you are already married and want to find a community where you can grow in the Lord, perhaps Married Ministry is the answer.

Build Relationship Like a Family

God created human beings as social creatures. Because of that, we certainly need one another so that we can support each other and grow. The world of marriage is a complex one, because it involves so many people within it.

Spouses, children, parents, and even a spouse's family are topics that are very close to married couples. We need one another and need to learn from others so that we can build a healthy family and also love God. 

Because of that need, this Married Ministry was formed. Married Ministry consists of people who are different in many ways, such as background, education, financial, and even ethnicity. However, this does not become a barrier. Through this, they can instead learn more from one another and grow, as iron sharpens iron. 

Even though there are many differences, the people in this community can be united, close, open, and even speak about their struggles. They can talk much more deeply about their fears and needs, strengthen one another, and correct one another regarding what is lacking and what still needs to be improved so that the marriage problems they face can be resolved. Here, married couples are guided to have conversations that are real and not merely superficial.

Married Ministry has a vision and mission to build a community like one family. A sense of family and trust are two important things that must always be nurtured. The people in this ministry will be taught and will learn to build healthy communication in the Lord. Then they can also apply this within their biological families. Here we make every effort so that each person can feel close, loved, and accepted, just like in a family.

This ministry is a ministry that is fun and spiritual. The foundation used here is the word of God. Everyone is helped so that they can go deep into God's Word, because that Word will become the guide for their lives. Why?

Because God has actually laid down the original blueprint for marriage, and when a married couple changes according to that original blueprint , then miracles begin to happen. Therefore, on this foundation, people will be guided and equipped to be able to lead and build their families according to God's standards. 

"So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. " - Ephesians 2:19-21

Activity

The activities in this ministry are very diverse. Let us look at them one by one. 

Bible Talk / Bible Discussion Fellowship (PDA)

In Bible Talk, married couples can enjoy warm fellowship while discussing God's Word and how to apply it in daily life.

Bible Study/Bible Study 

We have a Bible study program whose purpose is to know more deeply the purpose of our lives, why we were created, and what He wants us to do in this life. Through Bible study, many relationships are restored, whether between husband and wife or parents and children. How can that be? Because in fact, for every one of our problems, God has already provided the solution in the Bible :)

Spend Time

Quality time between two people with the purpose of building one another up. In spend time, they communicate one-on-one to encourage one another, build faith, and learn to dig into the word in relation to personal life.

Good Enough Parenting

When we talk about marriage, the relationships involved are not only between husband and wife, but also between parents and children. In Married Ministry, married couples will be equipped with the knowledge to become good and proper parents. Through the program or seminar "Good Enough Parenting", everyone is taught to build a healthy family in the Lord. 

"And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." - Ephesians 6:4 

Retreat

Retreat is an activity where they go away together, usually to a place that is quieter and far from the hustle and bustle, to be spiritually refreshed again. In retreat, they will listen to God's Word, gather, eat, pray, and even play games together.

Fellowship

A close-knit community does not grow overnight. It requires time and togetherness from each of its members. Usually in this fellowship, they will make time to eat together and do activities together. When someone has a birthday, they also gather for sharing and celebrating together with those who are rejoicing.
