Day 13
GOD IS LIGHT
1 John 1:5, "And this is the message we have heard from Him and proclaim to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all”God is light; this not only means literally that He is in the form of light, but also shows that God is open and transparent. Everything that is spoken, done, felt, created, even the events in heaven concerning Satan's fall, is also told. The intent of 1 John regarding living in the light is that we must live in a culture of confessing sin, being open about weaknesses and shortcomings, so that we can grow in the Lord. Light also describes the Glory (Glory) of the Lord (Ezekiel 1:27-29).
Verses for Reflection:
Ezekiel 10:4, "Then the glory of the LORD rose up from above the cherub and moved to the threshold of the temple, and the temple was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the radiance of the glory of the LORD."
John 8:12, "Then Jesus spoke again to the crowd, saying: "I am the light of the world; whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Isaiah 60:19, "The sun will no longer be your light by day, nor will the moon give you light by night, but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory."
James 5:16, "Therefore confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person, when prayed with faith, has great power."
