Day 11
THE UNCHANGING GOD (IMMUTABLE)
Malachi 3:6, "For I, the LORD, do not change...”Isaiah 14:27, "The LORD of hosts has purposed, and who can thwart it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?"
It is hard for us to keep everything running constantly and unchanged. In fact, we change all the time; our thoughts can shift, our moods can change according to our circumstances. In contrast, God does not change; He is called a rock, a fortified city, an anchor for the soul. The point is that God does not change. The way God saves people, the way God works, God's thoughts, God's actions, what is right and what is not, all remain unchanged from beginning to end.
Verses for Reflection:
Psalm 102:27-28, "They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment; like clothing You will change them, and they will be changed; but You are the same, and Your years have no end."
Psalm 33:10-11, "The LORD frustrates the plans of the nations; He nullifies the designs of the peoples; but the plans of the LORD stand forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations."
Proverbs 19:21, "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
